Allegheny Mountain Raceway Season Opener 4-27-08

Allegheny Mountain Raceways season opener saw the Hometown Country 103.9fm WLMI Chargers take to the track first for their 15 lap feature. Kane, PAs Del Cleer and Blane Krott (Bradford, PA) would set the pace. On the drop of the green Krott would get the edge on Cleer to lead from start to finish, getting his first win at AMR. Zach Gustafson (Weedville, PA) second, Dan Ott (Kane, PA) third, Joe Emmert (Weedville, PA) fourth and Cleer fifth. Heat wins went to Cleer and Krott.

Zook Motor Inc. Mini Stocks were out next for their 15 lap feature. Knox, PA boys Kyle Colwell and Jamie Colwell started the race with Cody Colwell (Shippenville, PA) right on their heels, at the end Kyle would take the win with Cody second, Jamie third, Mt. Jewett, PAs Chris Paar fourth and Joe Boylan (Mt Jewett, PA) fifth. Heat wins went to K Colwell and J Colwell.

The Dyne Excavating LLC Pure Stocks came out next for their 15 lap feature. Jamie Lunder (Ridgway, PA) would lead the pack to the green with Brent Harris (Bradford, PA) taking the lead from him on lap 1 and lead from start to finish only to get DQ'd in tech. Lunder would be awarded the win with Kane, PAs Josh Keith taking second, Pat Shauer (Kersey, PA) third, Dustin Bowen (Kane, PA) fourth and Andy Morris (Kane, PA) fifth. Heat winners were Lunder and Harris.

Last out on the track would be the Hometown Country 103.9fm WLMI Street Stocks Kane, PAs Craig Rex would take the lead from Bruno Mowery (Olean, NY) and lead from start to finish. Mowery would finish second with Chris Austin (Knapp Creek, NY) third, Jeff Helwig (Olean, NY) fourth and Matt Palmer (Rixford, PA) fifth. Heat winners were Rex and Mowery.

The Spring Break Enduro winner was Dan Colwell (Knox, PA) followed by Randy Woodward, Garrett Mott, Jim Barrett & Mike Smith. Heat Winners were Randy Woodward & Jim Barrett and the Demo Winner was Russell Lechner ()

Next week May 4 at AMR will be the Hometown Country 103.9fm WLMI Streets, Dyne Excavating LLC Pures, Zook Motor Inc.Minis, and the Hometown Country 103.9fm-WLMI Chargers plus the Micro Sprints will make their first appearance in 08. Gates open at 3 racing at 5.
